Cape town here we come!

So we finally made it to our destination and it feels great to unpack for the final time (for a while at least!) The bus ride from Jo burg was about 20 hours…… and there ain’t much to see in the Karoo! Luckily it was a sleep liner with almost fully reclining chairs and leg and foot rests, bathrooms, coffee and tea service. Worth every cent! And boy, the sky was amazing out there! I caught Alan up most the night just oohing and ahhing at the starry sky. It was something!

So, that’s how I spent my birthday. Oh well, Shane got me a cask of red wine and promised he’d take me shopping for sunnies since I lost mine in Uganda.

Well Cape town is a little cooler, in the evenings at least, than Johannesburg but appears as if we have a couple more warm months and the Home has a lovely pool that we’re already taking advantage of. We have a lovely room which opens to outside and an en-suite bathroom (a personal prayer request of mine, the Lord really spoils me).

We’re having a couple days to catch up with the Feast mailings and finding them really refreshing and renewing, I was disappointed to have missed it with this Home but, the Lord knows, we’re enjoying them nevertheless. And the CD is great! I love the song “Forever” sung by Haven and Richard …. Who is Richard?? I’m in love! And Haven is really sounding good; like Celine Dion is one of the songs…I love “Our Garden” too by Vas and Joni.

Big shout out to the girls in UG! That’s you: Machi, Celly, Tina and Mal.
I connected with each of you in a special way and really miss you! It probably doesn’t help that we haven’t been able to do internet much and am virtually out of touch with you…so, love ya!

And Ruth it’s been killing me that I haven’t been able to read your blog (and Libby’s too) you have not idea how addicted I was to it (maybe you do ;) but I just checked thanks for the birthday post.

So we just have a dial up connection but it seems we’ll be able to get on regularly in the evenings if we keep our fingers crossed.

I'm trying to upload pictures now but having a slow connection....

Love ya!
