We Live!

Yes, sorry about the silence. I’ve been really trying to get online but being a guest in people houses you can’t bother too much about these sorts of things and uh, no broadband …boo hoo…we were spoiled before. In Cape Town we’ll look into some more regular way to keep you updated.
So the actual flight was short and uneventful. We awoke at 2 am to catch a 5 am flight out to Nairobi then on to Johannesburg. At take off the sky was still pouring with rain and the lightning sorta frightened me. Here we were going into it! Anyway, claimed the keys and we all slept for the flight. When we landed and were filing out the plane, Jay-Jay awoke and loudly exclaimed for all on board to hear, "Thank you Jesus, he stopped the rain for us!"

So here we are in Johannesburg and the weather is great, the Family has been great, picking us up at the airport and shuttling us around where needed. We’re staying in a nice little apartment on a Family property and the Home is taking good care of us. The boys have been playing outside all day, there’s new puppies, rabbits and a pool and lots and lots of fruit. Jay hasn’t had grapes (to his knowledge) and keeps calling them berries. ha!

We’ll be here a few weeks because the Home we’re on our way to in Cape Town has had a bad case of whooping cough. But it gives us a good chance for some fellowship and catching up with 2 of Shane’s sisters that live here. Oh, and I got to see Amber the first night I was here! She’s flying out to Europe on Tuesday and who knows when she’ll be back but we got to meet at least and catch up a bit!
