Life waaaay down south

Thank you to all who sent me birthday greetings. That is what made my day! Being so far from friends and family is hard and dealing with a completely new situation too but the folks here are great. We knew them from before so that made the transition smoother.

We celebrated the Family birthday with all the Homes in Cape Town; it was nice meeting everyone around including Zeth's sister, Praise.

Otherwise nothing out of the ordinary happening, Shane’s helping with handyman projects around the house and I’ve been with boys. School in the morning, swimming and activities in the afternoons. It’s been very quiet not like what we’re used too. It’s relaxing but I’m itching to get busy and sink my teeth into something more.

We'll see what develops.

Jay-Jay been coming up with the cutest things these days...I've really got to write them all down. One was, I was asking him where Daddy was when he came wandering back to me when he was suppose to be with him and his reply was "He with Uncle Alf" .....ya' know LWG "Uncle Alf"

And when his shoes were missing "God and Jesus took them"

Every prayer whether it's for the food or for bed has something to do with witnessing. "Help us go witnessing" So this evening I asked him about that to see if he knew what he was talking about....and he did pretty much. "Give tracts to the people and then they're happy!"

So I really must take them down to the shops to pass tracts. One of the primary reasons for moving down here was to expand their opportunities for outings and excursions including witnessing. The roads where just not safe up in Uganda and hot and dusty, not nice walking streets with sidewalks like here. A few times over last year Alan asked me why he doesn't go witnessing...so now no excuses. TTL!
