Of babies & cars

I went for my first check up today, well, the booking in one where they ask you millions of questions including about domestic violence and whether you’re scared of your husband. .”uh, maybe he’s scared of me?” ha ha and just other medical history questions.

I had both Alan and Jay at this same hospital in Hornsby (I think April and Mike’s Tia was born there too?) and even delivered both my boys in the same room nearly 4 years apart! But that’s not possible this time. The hospital has been revamped and antenatal is in a completely different, new building. Even my doctor that delivered both my boys will be going private this month so I won’t have him either, sniff. The midwives are the main ones around anyway, the doctor just shows up to make decisions in an emergency and at the actual delivery to check the baby.

Oh, I really can’t wait! I’m so anticipating this baby. At about 18 weeks (I’m 15 weeks now) I’ll have an ultrasound to check the baby and find out if it’s a girl or boy. I’m resisting sorting the little girlie clothes I’ve already been given just not to get my hopes up. Honestly, I have gorgeous baby boys and would be thrilled with another one but knowing this could be the round out of our family I’m keen to experience a daughter.

In the meantime, I’m enjoying other people’s daughters. I’ve taken on schooling and caring for Anastasia for 3 days a week while her Mum, Sarah works. She’s an absolute doll as you would have seen in those flower girl pictures from Michelle’s wedding and I get pocket money on top of it so I can afford my Avon products, ha! No, I’m kidding, and pg clothes, birthdays etc…Sarah and I are prepping a Cancer party for both Anastasia and Alan. They’re 2 years apart but good friends and then we won’t do it twice in one week with all the same guests. Anyway, Pirates and Princesses it is! Another expensive month coming up in August too, our wedding anniversary and Shane’s 29th! I’m shit with saving up!

Oh, big news! We bought a car!! Finally, I’ve been climbing the walls! TG for all the friends that live next door or I don’t know what I would have done to myself! Love you guys!! Anyway, our car! Sleek and sexy! I feel like I need to dress up to step out of it! It’s a champagne colour, Mitsubishi Magna, 97 and we got it for a song! We’re waiting to see what the problems are but hoping it’s just the Lords love and mercy for us!

In a few weeks we’ll see how it’s running and change it to LPG gas since it’s a V6 and a bit pricey to run. The government subsidizes the change over and it cuts your gas bills in half.

So, that’s my life in a nut shell. How’s yours?! Leave a comment when you visit! It’s interesting to know who’s dropping in, I just learned a bunch of different people I’d lost contact with were visiting and up to date with my life, but what’s going on with you? Aren’t blogs great?! Start one!

  3. And I am SO regretting not having this next one at Hornsby...maybe they will let me switch, although I had to get a bus today to Blacktown with Dad working fulltime and it will be harder getting a bus to Hornsby...
