PEP

It’s unbelievable the buckets that have been coming outta the sky these last weeks.

No pond time, meaning no internet, even sloshing over to Lynn’s living room to use it isn’t motivating enough to do it. We are freeeeeeeezing! I’d forgotten about this cold but I think it’s a little unusual for Sydney. Luckily we have a gas heater in our room that is cheap enough to blaze away.

Hey, so cool to get all the comments! I love you all so much and I blog for YOU. Family and Friends, I’m sure we all agree, is the greatest gifts in life! And even there are a few people I don’t know too that I’m flattered that I am worth reading.

Well, last week I got to attend the PEP. Professional and Empowered Parenting seminar, which came at just the perfect time in my life, right when I desperately needed a break and change in routine and time to buckle down and get re-envisioned and re-inspired for being the right kind of parent and teacher. Awesome stuff! Thank God for the Boards and all those who sit on them who dedicate their time to putting this stuff together. It’s a life saver….and incidentally I’m not alone! Ha! I was able to hang out with a lot of other parent’s young and old who are also experiencing similar exhaustion.

Except, you wouldn’t believe, some of the ones with kids my age and still at it with down to 5 year olds!

I got a few “April?” ‘s….that was funny too. Some of them had known Anaik, April, Marc and Justin well and hadn’t been around since then.

On the last day of the meetings we had a special dinner and inspiration to which the whole area was invited.

Michael Piano happened to be in town as well so we had a treat of old Aussie favorites belted out by Vince, Michelle, and Mike P with an ongoing slideshow of photos from the beginning of the Family in Australia. It was quite a night!

Shane brought the video camera along but had forgotten to insert the mini CD. Argh! But we got to fully partake and enjoy it none the less.

Nana and Pop babysat the boys and Leona so Serena and Zeth and us could go. Thanks Mum and Dad!

Anaik and Mike and family also arrived in town! What fun to meet and catch up! We’re now helping them get set up and hopefully soon start house hunting for a place for us all!
