Long weekend..Yay!

Firstly, On Thursday night, I met the girls out for cocktails then we all went to see the Sex and the City movie. I was never particularly into that series but it was a good excuse for a night out. It was a bit disorienting walking along without pushing a stroller or holding a hand, thank you honey for keeping the kids and even the bubsy. (There's one great reason to get your baby onto bottles from the early days.)
Monday is the Queens birthday (as in the Queen of England) so Aussie traditional take a day off as well. We didn't plan it well enough to take off anywhere or do anything extra special but still are totally enjoying the extra day.
The kids camped out in their room,
went to see a Reptile show at the Homemaker Centre
had a movie night with all the trimmings
i.e popcorn and drinks and ice cream. (I usually like to plan that every Friday night to herald in the weekend.)
Oh and I totally forgot! We went to the circus last weekend. I don't think JJ had ever been to one but towards the end he whispers over to me. "Mommy, there wasn't even any juggling". Thankfully that was the next act.
The theme was sort of South American with some pretty hot young guys with genuine accents. I would say the girls were pretty hot too but some of those moves and outfits were pretty PG... C'mon, 2 girls in leather g-strings doing the splits on each other swinging through the air....hmmmm. Shane's smug grin said it all.
