Mum's birthday

The internet has been painfully slow of late and despite blog-worthy news I've been uninspired because of it.
Well, our dearest Mother had a birthday and we celebrated with lunch out all together. At breakfast on the morning of her birthday Nana asked Alan if he could guess how old she was turning, his response was a guess at "...uhm, 23?" I'm like, well Nana is older than Mommy and Mommy is older than that. Jay then blurts out, "But Mom, you're 17!" Hah!

The rest of the week flew by fairly uneventfully till Libby organized a girls night out last night. We went for drinks and a dance at a local club.I got to do something different and burn off some energy.

Oh, the boys and I went to watch Shane grade to go up a notch on his belt in Tae kwan do which he has recently taken up. During sparring he got a guy that was unable to lift his kicks high enough to hit the padding protection and kept kicking him in the butt and once kicked him narrowly missing his groin. So, needless to say, Shane's sore today (and it was funny to watch!)

I'm watching the ARIA's (Australian music awards) right now and enjoying the local talent and live shows!
