School and updates

Whatta week it's been! By the time evening hits all I can do is control the TV and even that doesn't last long after 8:00.
Alan had a great first week at school and I had beautiful sunny skies to walk him there and back all the days which I really enjoyed. It's crispy cold weather in the mornings and most of the day but gloriously sunny. I rug Haydn up and he usually takes a long leisurely nap in the pram. Jay's been happy to stay in and watch ABC kids with Pop.
Alan is thoroughly enjoying school! I've snuck a peek when I came a little early one day and he was wide eyed and happy. He skipped all the way home and went straight to pull out his homework (and proceeded to do the same every day of last week) I wonder how long that will last?
Oh, and his teacher, mmmmm! Put it this way I will look forward to the Parent/teacher meetings. No, but really how irresistible is a young guy as a primary school teacher?!
I was thinking about my own Primary school experiences and what made life hard and it came down to 2 things: the sharp (female) teacher and catching a bus at 7 am. We don't have to leave the house till 8:30.
Thanks Ushi for the note to Alan, he was so chuffed to get it. I must get him to sit down and write you as promised. I swear every spare moment is spent fiddling in a giant box of electronic bits and pieces.
I'm enjoying the preschool time with my little boys even Haydn sits in his walker and loves his songs and board books. We experimented (as in how big a deal it was) with catching a bus out to a big play place and to get some shopping done. I'd like to do that once a week at least, to catch preschool story times at the local library and just to get out!

On a completely different note, Chris, my brother got a serious oil burn at work (as a chef). He's been in hospital for a few days now and should be released tomorrow. Pray for him. Healing from a burn is a slow, painful process.
