Christmas has come and gone....

...and my life is one busy roller coaster so if I'm "away" a bit you'll know why. They say you can count 10 months of pregnancy for the month that you just cuddle and endlessly feed your newborn. That said I'm enjoying every minute of it! He's 2 weeks old and so far he's a great sleeper! So far he goes down for the night at around 9:30 and won't wake some nights till 2 or 4 and once even 5 am, then every 2 hours till 8am. I haven't experienced a good sleeper till now and it's divine! I'm hoping this is it and it lasts!

I'm trying not to let a little messier house and room, dirty laundry and out of control sleep schedule get to me. I mentally clean my room and organize my priorities for that quick break I might get to put a load on or throw the beds together. Lynn's been great, hanging loads of laundry for me and rescuing it before rain and working her charm on Haydn when he's unsettled. Thank you Lynn! I don't thank you enough. I wish I could help you more around the house. I won't be useless forever.

Mostly I want to say "Happy Birthday" to Jessica (who turned 30 on Christmas day!)
I love you and miss you all the way over there in Chile.
For those of you who don't know, Jess and I are 13 months apart in age and were virtually inseparable as kids growing up. She was my first "other half" so you can imagine how hard it is to be living different lives and our kids not growing up together.
I wish you another wonderful year and pray that you have everything you need and that little extra! Congratulations on 30 years! There's one of my favorite pictures of them.

We had a memorable Christmas day. The present part was extra special with so many kids around and we picked a name out of a hat for the each other. Mum's potato salad and pecan pie was outstanding as always and we all contributed a few dishes to create quite the spread which incidentally fed us all for boxing day lunch too. I've got lots of great photo's I'll be posting shortly.

Aww. Thanks Jo. We were inseparable, I say "best friends, but at the same time worst enemy" ha ha. Love you lots. Definetly we should get together. You still going to Africa? :) If you don't right away maybe we could hook up.
