Tuesday
Later on Ruth and I then met up and went to the movies and a coffee. We saw "Heartbreak kid" with Ben Stiller. Loved it and had a good laugh! Shane and Marty stayed with the kids and played Xbox games on their huge TV screen. I know you were in your element but thanks anyway for the free time boys!
Wednesday I worked on Alan's year end portfolio. Selecting his best work pages from school and arranging the photo's of his excursions and activities. I've been doing his since preschool and it's so fun and interesting to look back over the years on it. It's nothing flashy and maybe not even what the dept. of education looks for (though I have kept extensive logs and mandatory records) but nevertheless he enjoys it and it's a way to hang onto his best work and have a sense of accomplishment.
Went over to Mum and Dad's in the afternoon for a visit while Shane measured up the garage where he'll throw up some walls for Nat who's moved out there.
Thursday was Christmas shopping! And we had to be very strategic doing it in Alan and Jay's presence. We ended up getting most stuff in one shop, that made it easy, we sent them to another aisle when choosing then I took them out of the shop while Shane bought them. Last night I shut myself into our closet and wrapped them all. That's gotta be one of the funnest jobs in the world...when there's not too many, I suppose!
I had to do everything early because I didn't want to risk the baby coming and taking all my time and ruining their Christmas and now all that is out of the way I'm ready for the baby to come!
Friday. In the morning we headed over to Heidi's for a playgroup. I haven't had the stamina to get Alan back to school these last days so we all went along with Jay-Jay.
Then this afternoon I started and finished Jay's preschool portfolio! I'll have to post some pictures of the pages.
So that's my week. I try to avoid these types of posts but it's all I have to offer you today...deal with it. ;)
