Building baby beds and second winds

I was afraid I had lost all inspiration (and physical stamina) for cleaning and organizing my room but woke on Friday with the urge to get the final organization done before baby comes and moved the room around and make room for a baby bed....which is the last thing we needed to get.

Shane woke with the inspiration to make one! He's an awesome carpenter but I had my worries being very particular about what I wanted in a baby bed. Not to big but not a bassinet, not too low that kills the back etc... Anyway, he raced out to Bunnings Hardware store (big boys favorite shop) to buy what he needed and started work on it. Oh, he's also an artist and drew the template of the teddies, isn't he brilliant?! And the verdict is...I like it! It's very cute and unique!

Saturday we met up with Ruth and kids at an indoor pool (it's been raining) with a wave pool. Kids loved that!

I'm planning my baby shower and made invitations for that. I did a painting project with Alan. He's really into saving all kinds of bits and pieces of junk (most stuff I've actually put in the trash) so I got him a little wooden box with a latch to decorate. And we're trying our hand at decoupage'. He's such a little cancer boy in that way and loves creating things and collecting things.

We're off now to Kenthurst for a barbie with the family and I'm soooo tired.
