School Holidays have begun -- yay!

We all went along to Katyas' baby shower. She's having a girl in a matter of weeks (our tummys are the same size though, I cringe to think of what I'll be like at term.) Ever tried hugging another pg mom? It's really more of a tummy bump...ha! We played some fun games, had a good laugh and snacked the afternoon away.

Earlier we met up at the Waves with Ruth her mom and kids for a fun morning of swimming. Jay found his courage in the pool and pretty soon was leaping into the water and holding his breath under the water(!). My poor kids eyes react badly to the chlorine in the water...too bad, they love it so much.
The last few days they've been jumping into our backyard pool too. I stood in it and couldn't feel my feet, I don't know how they manage to jump in?

Yesterday we had a scorcher of a day at 35 degrees (I got a check to pack a bag with all our papers etc with these hot winds and bush fire season approaching.) today is a bearable 25 degrees and I've had the urge to clean every cupboard I open including the fridge.
I must be going through the "nesting" faze (?) .
Over the weekend I had a go at the garage which looked as if everyone who ever lived here left their forsake all and trash behind when they moved. I couldn't bare it any longer.

I'm resisting washing my baby clothes and setting up my baby stuff...it'll just seem longer then ever. I still have 2 months to go.

Meanwhile the 3 kids are happily playing endless camping and horse games with their little makeshift tent and stuffed toys. We've done heaps of activities over these past days I don't feel bad that they're just free playing today. I try to avoid endless movie watching on days like these.
This is my last week minding Anastasia though we'll still see her when she comes to spend the day with Lynn once a week. I just need to start focusing on setting up and preparing for the baby ...and getting all my naps in. ha!

Alan has taken off on these roller blades we picked up for 3 bucks at a garage sale.
