Vegging, long weekends and cute kids

We're on our last day of a long weekend...what they call it when Friday is declared a public holiday then you still get your 2 regular weekend days, and it's just been lovely. Now at nearly noon on Sunday, I'm still in pj's and in bed surfing the net and starting to feel unwound.

We'll be off to Mum and Dads shortly for Nat's 17th birthday and homemade pizza!

Before I forget, here are a few of the cute things that have been coming out of Jay and Alan

When hurrying up to finish dinner I reminded Alan (7)of the cooking program we were gonna watch together when he was done. His reply was, "Oh yes, the Olive guy." He was referring to Jamie Oliver.

And when I went to put Vegemite on his toast, "Please no termites on my bread today." (He'd had actually tried a termite spread on our most recent trip to Africa, and disliked it equally.)

Alan and Anastasia were having a discussion when watching "Bindi the jungle girl" about how her daddy died (The crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin) when Jay (3), catching only the tail end of the conversation, look up and asked "Did my daddy die?"
Awwwww, Shane happened to be driving up from work right then and was able to assure him that he was ok.

The boys can't help noticing my growing belly and ask every so often "how old is your baby now?" And when I told Jay-Jay that I was about 7 months he interjected "oh, and how old are your boobies?" (which are also unmistakably growing.) Hah.
