Bargains and pg update

This morning was spent bargain shopping at 2 annual church sales and we came out on top. We need everything for a new house but at the same time no need to invest too much as we only plan to be here a year…anyway, we picked up a washing machine (for free because it needs a gauge or something replaced), kitchen items, entertainment furniture and other various sundries but the $2.50 computer takes the cake.

We actually wanted the computer desk which was five bucks and she threw in the Apple imac in for $2.50. Nothing to lose if it’s a piece of trash so we took it home and booted it up, there are already needed programs on the desktop, CD rom etc. It doesn’t hold much memory but the boys’ Reader Rabbit and other games run fine and it looks as if it’ll do my internet too. Bargain!

In other news, the kids are doing great, happy running around this large property, Jay spends a good amount of time on the trampoline and eating apples ALL DAY LONG! He really loves his fruit. He does get some school in too. I recently got some great tips and advice from a real live super-nanny that is helping both Alan and Jay in their school and behavior. Thanks Rejoice!

At 9weeks pg I’ve been up and about without morning sickness (just evening sickness when I smell dinner cooking) I just have extra tiredness and an annoying urge to put something in my mouth even if I have no appetite.

Last week it was Thai sweet chilli sauce on everything, yesterday it was tomato sandwiches, and today I just had to have a good ole ozzie meat pie. I’ve been fantasizing about cheese all this time in Africa, now I’m here and I can’t stand it…..

I’m looking forward to having the energy to get back to a good routine and catching up with all my friends.

Sorry I haven’t been able to get around to you all yet, those in Sydney. Love you!

And I leave you with these images of our get-out walk which evidently is just down our very own street. Little piece of paradise!
