It's funny because before I came to Uganda I was the kind of person that would NEVER get on a motorcycle of any sort. Pretty much right away I had to get used to getting around town on the smaller type locally called "boda boda's" for outreach and just to get anywhere in the freak traffic here.
I might have been a little nervous the first few times but now I hardly flinch now at the close calls I've had on an almost daily basis. Of course we know that good prayer and the Keys of protection are responsible for our lives! But I'm thankful for them every time we're zipping through long lines of backed up cars sitting in traffic. Just keep us in your prayers on that one, hey!
Nyx, you know what I'm talking about! One of the first boda's I took was with you and you were berating the driver, with a thick African accent, the entire time to drive cafefully....I was in stitches! Ha, good times!

Shane looks happy!
ReplyDeletehaha...I am so glad to NOT be riding bodas anymore.
ReplyDeleteI remember that ride with you now, Jo! Someone brought to my attention just tonight that I deal with fear by talking really hyper in a strange way. hmmmm....
martin's suddenly very interested in your blog...after seeing the motorbike pics!
ReplyDeleteOMG, that last photo of Shane and little Jay Jay is a total classic. What a gorgeous little guy (the big guy's not too bad looking too). Can't believe you guys have a motorcyle. So cool.
ReplyDeleteSorry, that was me just above, Anaik. Love you so much, will update my blog soon!!!!
ReplyDeleteSure, sure Anaik. Believe it when I see it!
